Captor of the Month
Grace Yinger
January 2019
Grace has been a member of Capture Fitness since opening. She has goals of building her core strength and a body that she feels good and confident in. In the month of January Grace did 8 personal training sessions and 12 group strength classes. She has lost 30+ lbs and counting! Keep up the good work Grace!
Sydnee Summerville
February 2019
Sydnee Joined Capture Fitness in January with a goal of working out 4 days each week. Since then she caught the bug and only missed 4 days in February (we’re closed on Sunday). She has consistently hit 6 workouts a week and prides herself on motivating ladies on what is possible while also humbling men that think they’re strong.
Uzoamaka Aniagba M.D.
March 2019
Dr. Aniagba joined Capture Fitness in February and never looked back. Her strength and muscle endurance has yet to plateau. She just concluded medical school and will do her residence back home in Brooklyn, NY. Her hard work is hardly matched as she completed 21 group strength sessions in March, and is always a go to example when someone mentions their lack of time for their health.
Melissa Rodriguez
April 2019
Melissa Joined Capture Fitness in January 2019. She is out to show herself how much she is capable of. Along the journey thus far Melissa is down 40lbs and is easily one of the strongest people we have at Capture. Her positive energy and relentless dedication is infectious. In April she hit 23 sessions! Success leaves clues and it’s no wonder she’s getting results. Never look back Ms. rrrrrrrRodriguez!
Trevor Egan
May 2019
Trevor joined Capture in April, and has had an unmatched determination and approach to his fitness and quality of life goals. He committed to being great and exceeding his own expectations of himself. His initial goal was to lose an arbitrary 50lbs to feel better about himself. After two months and already losing 20lbs, he has recalibrated and understands that there isn’t a point of arrival. He runs to the gym every day and has his sights set on performance goals like doing pull ups without the assistance of bands. He’s not taking shirts to his much deserved Costa Rica vacation.
Aime Idahosa
June 2019
Dr. Minx is another example of captors using their triumphs within the gym to power their personal prowess to achieve. Aime finished medical school and is now in her residency. Her goal was to capture her inner beast and make sure she keeps her foot on everyone necks with every step she takes. Aime can now do 5 bodyweight pull ups and continues to reach new strength accomplishments every day. Her only regret is that she didn’t start Capture Fitness sooner. She has been consistent working out 6 days a week since starting. With that commitment, her results are no surprise.
Allie Nash
July 2019
Allie Nash has been a true staple of Capture Fitness. Since joining she has helped to grow the community and shape the culture of the gym. Her energy is unrivaled and is a memorable part of your Capture experience. During her first year Allie got into a car accident that took her out of the gym for a month or so, but she returned ready to work. Combining Capture Fitness with her physical therapy, we were able to collaborate to ensure we still pushed forward on her goals. Back Stronger than ever and still achieving. She ran the first successful campaign for Captor of the month and has accepted her position as campaign manager for a potential future Captor. Little head big personality. Beyond excited to take this thing to the next level.
Katie Gaertner
August 2019
Lil’ Katie is one of my favorite representations that Capture Fit is just different. A boast of Capture is that we can do what you do, but you can’t do what we can. Katie keeps me sharp as a trainer solely based on the fact that she always can. She can do it all not if, but when she wants to. Over this year Katie has Completed a Tough Mudder with Capture, and also has completed a full marathon. she does Pull ups, bodyweight squats, yoga, the works! Super proud of her and I wish I could take credit for her but I have only presented the challenges, she’s the one crushing them. Shoutout to her campaign manager for helping her get here. Let’s see what’s next
Michael Onuorah
September 2019
Late Mike not having the same picture as everyone else is a good representation of his experience with Capture. Mike completed the attendance requirements every month he has been with Capture, we just had some things to get right before he could officially get Captor of the month (ex. punctuality). He caught the bug early. He’s getting his nutrition together to line up with his efforts in the gym. Mike is now stronger than he has ever been, can pull up and squat his own bodyweight. We’re working up to the bodyweight bench, the bodyweight x10. He admittedly lost it after college basketball, and decided he needed to make a life change when he joined Capture. He’s had a myriad of wins throughout his time, including but not limited to his first time feeling comfortable taking his shirt off in the gym even just to change, people he played ball with asking what he’s been doing and that they were embarrassed to tell him he was fat. We don’t look back at Capture
Meghan Pardo
October 2019
Can’t decide if doctors love Capture Fitness or if Capture Fitness loves doctors. Meg is another med student that uses Capture as a break from the school grind. Miami Meg has met new friends at Capture, and is a favorite of many of the members. She’s committed to getting ‘hella abs’, and we’re ensuring that she gets stronger than she envisioned she could be along the way. Meg always goes in each time she comes to Capture. Her ability to turn off the outside world and lock in is infectious. Let’s keep rocking it MegsOverEasy!
Rachel Case
November 2019
Rachel is a first lady of Capture Fitness. Since before she joined she wanted it. Rae attended a few classes with her boyfriend (the first new member of Capture) and had to encroach on his thing and make it their thing. She has been dedicated to getting this work, getting stronger, and making it happen. Nothing holds her back or gets in her way. She wanted to get pull ups and she has that, now it’s just how many we can get. She has old basketball knees, but her prowess and commitment to strengthening her quads and hamstrings to protect those knees has us able to keep it rocking.
Ali Pritchett
December 2019
Ali has been working with Capture fitness since January, and has had constant improvement. Her first assessment session was very revealing and humbling, but Ali took that as a call to action. Her goal this year was consistency, and she got it. She started with only doing 1-2x/wk with the occasional 3rd visit. She capped the year off with 4x/wk and is never turning back. She can now do all the pull ups, squat her body weight, and makes the best mocktails in the city! Bigger goals for the new year.
